TE Connectivity (TE), the world leader in connectors and sensors, has completed the acquisition of Sense Eletrônica Ltda (Sense), a renowned manufacturer of sensors for industrial automation in Brazil. With this acquisition, TE expands its portfolio, which now includes a wide range of inductive and capacitive proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, valve automation products and connectivity solutions for the industrial and process automation markets.
With sensors playing an increasingly important role in industrial operations, the acquisition of Sense is strategic and will strengthen our position as a reference supplier in the industrial automation market. I am happy to welcome the Sense team to TE Connectivity, said Vish Ananthan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of TE’s Industrial business unit. By combining our strengths, we will accelerate the growth of the local business in Brazil and bring Sense’s attractive product portfolio to TE’s customers around the world.
During its 48 years, Sense has built a solid reputation by offering not only high-quality products, but also exceptional service, close customer relationships and reliable after-sales support, said Antonio Celso Spiniella, partner at Sense. The decision to pass the baton to TE Connectivity reflects the confidence that these core values will be maintained and strengthened, ensuring that customers continue to benefit from the same commitment to excellence that has always defined the company.
